Some Progress, The Hermits, And A Full Tilt Boogie

Good Friday Morning, dear friend, from another cold and snowy New England day.

Let's start with a bit of show and tell, as I have made some real progress on my CCN "February Cottage," which has been a real joy to stitch. I especially adore the "pinkiness" of it all!

CCN "February Cottage"
Love it!

And then, there's poor lonely "Vermont" which has been sitting for weeks all forlorn and forgotten....

MM Waldock "Vermont"

The start of an "M"
Poor fellow!

But rest assured, dear friend, that this WIP will have much to tell come Monday, as I will be spending the entire weekend dedicated just to his progress, since it is our IHSW!
I am so excited that I can't even tell you, and even Pa has gotten into the spirit as he's watched me happy dancing around the house for days, with anticipation. Gotta love that Pa, who in honor of such a quiet stitchy weekend for Ma, has kindly offered to spend as many hours each day, as possible up on the mountain shredding some wicked turns! Of course, that is how he spends every weekend, but that'll just be our secret.

What's that, you ask? "What is the "IHSW?" Well, let me show you....

And then there was more snow! I know, can you believe it, dear friend? If this isn't a "Be careful what you wish for" winter then I don't know what is....

fresh pow

But Teagan and Leo don't seem to mind!

Check out the full tilt boogie through the fresh 4 inches of snow, and Miss Teagan's cozy jacket., very pretty.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit, and as always hoping that today finds you getting ready for your own peaceful weekend, with a threaded needle in your hand.

Oh my oh my...I love the cottage! I need to order my pattern. Shame on me. I was waiting to order this and a few other things at the same time.

I think I need to find a better stitching chair and join the hermit weekends as my hind-end gets a little numb after a while. ;-)

What a gorgeous snowfall! My hubby & I are hoping to move to a colder, snowier place this year. I did suggest Lapland but he said no, it has to be in the US. Looks like I have to do a little research on the northeast : ) Your stitchings are looking good & thanks for the IHSW info! Never saw that before. Blessings, Shirlee

Oh yes, this little cottage is a real beauty. Oh these colours ...
It has been snowing here as well but I don't like it as much as your dogs do. Of course, they do - they don't have to drive in the snow, lol.

I have seen so many stitch this February design and I love every one! Makes me think I should do it too but I am quickly jolted back to reality when I gaze upon my stash basket(s).

Does it count for the hermit stitch if you're not at home? I stitch by myself all weekend but generally it's while I'm waiting for my DH at the church.
There is not a weekend that goes by that I'm not in Ottawa for one of the days.
Love your CCN stitch!

Love the February cottage, and you're so close to being finished with it.

The dogs sure look like they're enjoying playing in the snow.

An Irish Prayer

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Amen
