Monkey Bread

These are a real favorite in the Teakettle House, especially on a cold winter morning.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Heat oven to 350°F.

Lightly grease your tube pan with cooking spray.

In a large Ziploc bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Separate dough into 16 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat, and arrange in pan.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter and pour over biscuit pieces.

Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center.

Cool in the pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto a serving plate.

Pull apart to enjoy them warm with a cold glass of milk.

Thanks for stopping by on another cold winter morning, and hoping that today finds you warm and cozy with a sweet treat to start your day.

Oh I haven't made these in quite a while.
Masterchief stepped on the scales this morning. Had I know he was headed for them I would have diverted his attention to something less traumatic. Poor guy. I just like to bake too much (I haven't heard him complain though) :o)

YUMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

An Irish Prayer

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Amen
