Oops, I Did It Again!

I had made the decision to put off starting "Give Thanks" until I had arrived to the kin, but somehow my needle took flight and the next thing I knew, I had made some pretty good progress.

I was just intrigued by the chart which called for various stitches, besides the basic cross stitch.

Check out the windows panes...

Which I stitched in a Smyrna Cross over four, using two strands of GAST "Picnic Basket."

And

The grass under the house...
Which I stitched in a Vertical Satin, using three strands of GAST "Dried Thyme."

I am enjoying the new stitches that this chart calls for, but now I must force myself to "Put down the needle, and step away from the Q-snap" so that I can pack it.

But, there you have the latest, dear friend.

Hugs

  7. I love those different stitches, too, when they're just here and there on a piece. Give Thanks looking good and you got a lot done. Be safe and enjoy your trip. Love the quilting piece too, but I've been out of touch.

  17. Hi!

I've been thinking about you a lot lately. I'm cross stitching the Little Prince's Christmas stocking after finishing up the Diva's. I have a nice new (to me) frame that stands on the floor and it's so much easier to have it set up the whole time rather than put it in a frame and take it apart again every.time.I.work.on.it. LOL

We need to Yahoo soon. I miss you!
